Code of Conduct

SAQCC Code Of Conduct: Gas Practitioner

Grounds for Disciplinary Action

While this disciplinary code details the most severe penalties for the listed offences each case must be judged on its own merits. This list is therefore a guide and circumstances may dictate that an alternate or no penalties may apply.

Any offence not specifically listed below may be subject to a penalty such as deregistration, suspension, fines including written warnings. The Code is also not intended to be exhaustive. All situations below, and others, are always subject to investigation through a proper disciplinary process and observance of full procedural fairness!

Notwithstanding the severity of an offence, should a gas practitioner commit more than one offence on a single occasion or receive more than two written warnings he may have his registration removed. Each offence must be judged on its own merits.
