Notice: De-registration (August 2023)

  6. Sanction: De-registered with immediate effect as a gas practitioner at the SAQCC Gas disciplinary hearing held on 19 September 2022. The right to appeal after 30 days of receipt of sanction was not taken up.

  2. SAQCC Registration no: 1572/R
  3. Registration Category: Domestic (LPG)
  4. Offence: Installed about 200 type D (outdoor) geysers indoors. This is in breach of SABS regulations and the OHS Act, not to mention risk to human life. Each unit has 9kg cylinder which in total makes 1800kg in the building without approval from local fire department.
  5. Sanction: De-registered immediately as a gas practitioner on 29 November 2017 following a SAQCC Gas disciplinary hearing on said date. Was given the right to appeal the sanction within the prescribed period of 30 days to which no appeal was lodged.
  6. Current status: The SAQCC Gas is informed that Mr Price mentored 2 new applicants which by virtue of the sanction will be deemed an illegal and invalid process.
  7. Recommendation to associations, practitioners, members: Be hereby informed of the current status and communicate this information immediately to persons operating in the LPG & NG domestic and commercial environments.

Notice: De-registration 

  1. Name: Ms Ilse Wolmarans
  2. Category: Domestic (LPG & NG)
  3. Offence: Contravened the Code of Ethics
  4. SAQCC no: 125 (withdrawn & de-registered)
  5. Penalty: De-registered as gas practitioner on 6 May 09 and still practicing illegally as a non authorised person
  6. Current status: Undertakes gas installations at private homes. Contact details are always inaccurate. All reported incidents confirm unsafe and extremely dangerous practices. Disappears when pursued. On latest incident the home owner was informed to lodge a criminal case with SAPS.
  7. Recommendation to associations, practitioners, members, Egoli Gas, Southdowns Estate: Communicate this information urgently to your LPG & NG domestic/commercial market. Report the illegal practice and whereabouts immediately to SAPS

Our Gas Practitioner license can now be viewed on the Electronic CoC App as a digital card. On the front of the card is the practitioner’s identity photograph, Personal details and the Department of labour logo. The reverse of the card includes a list of qualifications with the SAQCC Gas logo (watermarked both back and front).
