1. Registration of individual in the gas and gas related industries.

This implies:

  • Establish a competence review process of Gas Practitioners before registration
  • Managing the application for registration
  • Manage the ongoing registration process and data base

2. Establish an effective and efficient infrastructure to support the registration of competent Gas Practitioners:

This envisages:

  • Establish and maintain National Qualifications (Training)
    • Working with the SETA’s, Gas Associations
  • Establish partnership with accredited training provides (Training)
    • Working with the Gas associations, SETAs, Training providers
    • Establish Trainers, Moderators, Assessors and Mentors.
    • Curriculum and content presented by the accredited Training providers to be approved by SAQCC Gas committee
    • Practitioners to be examined to the SAQCC Gas requirement.
  • Identify required standards and regulations to enhance safety
    • Working with the Gas Associations, SABS, Dol, SETAs and SAQA to ensure consistent and effective Standards and Regulations
    • Recommending improvements to Standards and Regulations
  • Ensure a disciplined and safe working environment (Disciplinary)
    • Ensuring the necessary corrective actions are taken to ensure compliance to Industry and legal Standards.
  • Communication to all Gas Industry Stakeholders (Marketing)
    • SAQCC Website, Gas Association Website, DoL Website, Conferences / Road Shows and Promotional literature
  • Finance viability and sustainability of Section 21 Company (Finance)
